SOME THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK:
“Patience is the calm acceptance that things can happen in a different order than the one you have in mind.” David Allen
“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” Anne Lamott
“Be a lamp, or a lifeboat, or a ladder. Help someone’s soul heal.” Rumi
“There are no bad children. There are bad choices. There are bad moments. There are bad days. There are bad situations. But there are no bad children.” L. R. Knost
“God is able to take your life, with all of the heartache, all of the pain, all of the regret, all of the missed opportunities, and use you for His glory.” Chuck Swindoll
ONE SENTENCE SERMON: Sometimes I forget putting myself first isn’t selfish, but necessary !
SHORT BUT SWEET: A teacher was giving her pupils a lesson in logic. “Here is the situation,” she said. “A man is standing up in a boat in the middle of a river, fishing. He loses his balance, falls in, and begins splashing and yelling for help. His wife hears the commotion, knows he can’t swim, and runs down to the bank. Why do you think she ran to the bank? “A little girl raised her hand and suggested, ” ‘To draw out all his savings?”
